The Universe, by Paulo Crawford, is a book that presents the origins of the universe, its characteristics, and the demystification, throughout the years, that each “new” scientist and physicist made about stone-written facts that changed the way the scientific community and society see Universe.
The book starts with the origin of the universe, with some contradictory theories, moving then to the solar system, its galaxy, and others, too, including some brief descriptions and explanations regarding more recent topics, like black holes. It ends with the possible new discoveries regarding the Universe.
Overall, it’s a good book that gives an introduction to the universe as a whole. It’s short, which allows it to be read fast, but, on the other hand, it lacks some complementary information and extension to the existing knowledge it gives to the reader, which is the reason why I only rate it 3.5 out of 5.
