On July 13th 2000, I was born on Porto, Portugal.
In 2003, I learned how to swim and since then I just didn't become the new Michael Phelps because I didn't want to embarrass him... From 2008 to 2010, I was part of a swimming team called CNMaia.
From the nursery years to the 2nd year at school, I studied at Colégio Nossa Senhora Perpétuo Socorro. Good times, for sure!
After the second year was finished, I moved into a new school where I then continued my academic progress until the 4th year.
My third school was the worst experience I've ever had in my life. During this two years (the 5th and 6th at school), I was victim of bullying, having today a small scar on my chin due to one of those episodes. The only thing that saved those years was that my academic grades were still high enough to be recognized in both years at the Excellence Board. In 2010, a couple of weeks after the starting of the academic year, I won the Mathnasium Mathematical Triathlon, being awarded with a 3-month scholarship at Mathnasium Antas.
On September 2012, I was invited by some friends to start playing Water Polo. At first, I was undecided, but after a trainning with the National Team captain, which told me I had potential due to being lefthanded and knowing how to do the eggbeater technique, I decided to at least experiment. And that's what I think I'm still doing right now. I played 3 years at Gondomar Cultural and then I moved to my actual team, CDUP, in which I already achieved some trophies, with the 2nd Division National Championship being the most important. I've also won the National University Championship by University of Porto.
After two difficult years at that school, I then moved to a new one, my favourite until today. I studied in Aurélia de Sousa from the 7th to 12th years and in all those 6 years I was recognized at the Excellence Board due to my high grades. In here, I made some of my best friends with whom I still meet today. In the picture, the vice director of the school at the time.
On March 2018, I represented my school at the district phase of the 2018 edition of Youth Parliament, an initiative promoted by the Portuguese Parliament in order to let teenagers have a political experience. The subject of the main discussion was the Gender Equality.
After twelve long years and a couple of exams, I was accepted as one of the new Informatics and Computing Engineering students at Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto.
While KPMG Ambassador, one of the Big Four companies, I was part of a group of university students that represented the company in their faculties. (I'm the one at right in the back)
While Software Developer at the first and, until now, the only Portuguese Online Swimming Journal, my main functions are related to problems that need to be solved as quickly as possible, as well as add and change some features. I was also the responsible and creator of Chlorus Premium, Chlorus App and Chlorus Newsletter. You can visit the Chlorus here.
During the month of July 2019, I've made my first Summer Internship, at KPMG, in which I've created a chatbot using IBM Watson Assistant and a mobile app using Outsystems.
On August 2019, I made my first International Summer School on Microcontroller and Electronics for IoT, held at FEUP, organized with FH Campus Wien - University of Applied Sciences. Lessons were taught by Professors from Ilmenau, Limerick, Wien and Nuremberg. It was an awesome experience!
As a Prime College Ambassador, my main function was to represent Prime IT at FEUP.
Being at Web Summit was a kind of a dream come true. Since I've decided that my future was going to be related with technology, go to Web Summit was a new objective in my wishlist. I was both a volunteer and a participant and the experience was one of the best in my life!
While Director of Marketing and Communication, I led a team that was responsible for the website, blog and social media of the UPrise Talent association.
UPrise Talent is a youth focused association that seeks to complement the
portuguese educational system, through training action initiatives, vocational
orientation and organizational projects, which aim at developing a more conscious,
dynamic and proactive society.
On July 2020, this time online, I had my second Summer School experience. Organized by EUGLOH (European University for Global Health) Alliance, both participants and professors were from University of Porto (Portugal), Lund University (Sweden), Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Germany), University of Szeged (Hungary) - Host University and Université Paris-Saclay (France).
During this Summer Internship, in a pandemic year, I’ve increased my knowledge in the working areas at Critical Software, having also the opportunity to develop my technical and personal skills.
Since September 2020, and until 2024 (an olympic cycle), I'm the representative of all the Water Polo athletes at the Portugal National Swimming Federation.
In an online edition for the first time, I was both a participant and representative of Portugal in the Innovation and Technology roundtable at the European Youth Debate 2020. I was also the spokesperson of the roundtable in the Plenary Assembly.
On January 6th, I was accepted into the MLSA program. On May 12th, I hosted my first event on Artificial Intelligence & Computer Vision. On March 28th, I hosted my second event on Natural Language Processing. Meanwhile, with the end of my studies at the University, I've finished this experience as a Beta MLSA.
On 23rd and 25th February 2021, I started, respectively, two podcasts: Tech4U and Virar de Página. You can get to know more about these two in the Podcasts tab.
From 12th to 16th July, back into Critical Software Summer Camp, within a group of 3 university students, we developed a Google Chrome Extension called Smart Eye Tracking, that allows the analysis of the user eyes movement using the computer webcam to then output two files with information regarding the usage. It was the first in-person experience in a while, due to the pandemic.
On September 1st 2021, I started my first full-time job experience as a Junior IT Talent at Infineon. On March 1st 2023, the JITTI program ended and I started my new role as Outsystems & ABAP Developer at Infineon.
On this day, I finished my Bachelor in Informatics and Computing Engineering at FEUP, starting right away the Master in the same area.

From 18th to 19th November 2021, I've joined a team from Porto to develop the Book Your Lunch application for the Infineon Makeathon event. On 23rd November, we were awarded with the 1st place!

On this day, I finished my Master in Informatics and Computing Engineering at FEUP, after defending my Master Thesis entitled "Ticket Amount and Type Prediction with Time Series Forecasting" and achieving a grade of 18 out of 20.
