Meditations, by Marcus Aurelius, one of the greatest leaders in the history that dedicated himself to the philosophical study and reflection, is a collection of 12 diaries in which the author reflects on life, its meaning, and purpose, following the Stoic principles.
Each diary, strongly influenced by his life context, contains a set of guiding principles and advice that are somehow timeless.
The best part of the book is that it can be read at any time, on any random page, as the diaries have no connection between them nor the principles inside each diary.
However, what makes me rate this book only 3.5 out of 5 is the fact that at a certain point it becomes quite repetitive, with the principles feeling more like a continuation/exploration of the previously presented ones rather than completely different ones. Nevertheless, it is still worth reading, and I recommend it!
