Euro and Economic Growth, Pedro Braz Teixeira

A very useful book about Portuguese economic growth, before and after the “adoption” of the single European currency, the Euro, as well as the reasons that preceded an accession marked by a period of stagnation.
All banking, political management and other problems that led to the latest crisis and slower (un)expected growth when compared to other EU countries are also described in detail.
It’s a book with a lot of data, so I recommend a careful reading to anyone interested in the area.
